Nina Maya Interior Studio currently has many successful projects around the world -- both private and commercial, most recently a house in Balmain, a suburb of Sydney.

The client set the studio a daunting task: to create a comfortable multipurpose space for a family with two young sons that would not be cluttered with unnecessary objects. The owners have a very busy lifestyle and they want a relaxed atmosphere like living in a beach house. And that's what they want to focus on in this project.

To meet this requirement, Nina dug deep into the site of the spacious three-story house, creating a ground floor that fully meets the needs of leisure and health: a state-of-the-art gym, steam room, home theater, theater and bar.

The designers described the style of the interior as "exquisite minimalism". The choice of materials is as unobtrusive as possible, which helps to accentuate the aesthetic of the house's architecture and other elements. Maya said: 'The fireplace is a good example: it looks simple, but it was actually handmade and took three days to install. The bathroom fits that definition too, and I chose neutral pastel tones. Particularly striking in this context are round cabinets with built-in sinks, made entirely by hand from marble."

All the furniture for this project was hand-picked by Nina Maya. Inside, you can see the extensive work of the Australian designer Daniel Boddam. For example, the Coast Wave sofa is the centerpiece of the living room. In addition to Boddam's work, the house also houses a number of vintage items from the designer's personal collection.
