* 前情提要：
2019年的時候，梅根起訴《星期日郵報》等刊載的自己寫給父親的信件濫用了她的私人資訊、侵犯了她的版權還違反了《資料保護法》；
2021年2月倫敦高法支援了她這一主張，認為媒體曝光這封信“明顯過分且違法”；
聯合報業不服上訴，找到哈里夫婦前通訊秘書傑森·可考夫（Jason Knauf）出庭作證，給出鐵錘資料以證實梅根兩口子不僅知情，而且還主導、精心措辭、詳盡安排了一切訊息傳播的內容和渠道安排；
11月10日，梅根委託律師提交了一份新的檔案，公開承認自己和丈夫哈里王子在2018年底討論、指導、授權了相關內容的出版，她說：“我承認傑森確實向傳記作者提供了一些資訊，並且以通訊秘書的身份與作者見面，但不知道他具體分享了哪些資訊，我為當時不記得這些交流的事實向法院道歉”，並表示，自己絕對不想也沒有打算誤導被告或法院。

But to be honest, the content came as little surprise to me.

Back when Meghan’s letter to her father first came to light, I commented on this very page that the carefully calligraphed handwriting and choice of words suggested it was a letter that the author expected might be made public.
