2021年9月蘋果釋出了全面屏iPad mini（第六代），一度火爆市場，導致大量缺貨，供應鏈日夜趕工，無奈官方發貨期還是推遲到了60天。
如此盛況，如此瘋狂的消費者，蘋果內部也想趁熱打鐵，針對一些果粉的需求，推出一款進階的iPad mini Pro（第一代）機型來填充市場。
當時的iPad mini（第六代）果凍門事件鬧得沸沸揚揚，一度讓很多果粉止住“剁手”的腳步，其實要解決這個問題，最直接的方式就是上120hz重新整理率，讓肉眼看不到果凍波紋。
