故事全文
A man in the State of Chu had a beautiful pearl. He wanted to sell it. To sell the pearl for more money, he decided to get a nice box to put it in.
He asked a good worker to make the box. The box was beautiful, and had the smell of flowers. The man from the State of Chu put the pearl into the box and went to a market in the State of Zheng.
People in the market all came to see the beautiful box. A man liked the box very much. He bought it for a lot of money.
Soon, the man from the State of Zheng came back with the box. “Why are you back?” the man from the State of Chu asked.
The man from the State of Zheng opened the box and took the pearl out. “Sir, you left this pearl in the box. Here you are.” he said. Then he went away happily with the box.
The man from the State of Chu was confused. He made the beautiful box to match the pearl. But for the man from the State of Zheng, the box was more precious than the pearl. He paid so much money for only a box!

中文大意
楚國有個人，他擁有一顆美麗的珍珠，他想賣出這顆珍珠。為了能賣個更好的價格，他決定為珍珠配一個精緻的盒子。
這位楚國人請來能工巧匠，為珍珠打造了一個盒子。盒子十分精緻，散發著陣陣芳香。楚國人將珍珠放進盒子中，去鄭國的市場上拿去賣。
在市場中，大家都圍過來欣賞楚國人的漂亮盒子。其中一個鄭國人很是喜歡，出了高價將盒子買下。
一小會兒，鄭國人拿著盒子回來了。“你怎麼回來了？”楚國人問他。
鄭國人打開了盒子，將裡面的珍珠拿了出來。“先生，這顆珍珠落在盒子裡了，我來歸還它。”鄭國人說。說完，他帶著空盒子開開心心地離開了。
楚國人感到很迷惑，他製作精美的盒子只是為了與珍貴的珍珠相匹配，但是鄭國人居然認為盒子比珍珠還寶貴。他用了大價錢，竟然只買了一個盒子！
