On October 1, Mr. Yang Qi, a well-known journalist in Guangdong and Hong Kong, passed away at the age of 99.
10月1日，99歲高齡的粵港著名報人楊奇先生逝世。
Yang Qi was born in 1923 in Guangdong province and went to Hong Kong to make a living when he was young. After completing his studies at the China Journalism College in 1940, he started his journalism career and worked as a journalist for more than half a century due to the need of the country.
楊奇於1923年出生於廣東，少年時即赴香港謀生，1940年完成了在“中國新聞學院”的學業，後又因國家需要攜筆從戎，開始了逾半個世紀的新聞生涯。
