咸豐元寶：中國古代錢幣之一。 據資料記載：清咸豐年間（1851-1861年），太平天國農民起義發展迅猛，並在江蘇南京建都，此時清政府賴以鑄錢之用的滇銅（雲南省出產的銅料），因道路阻斷而無法運進北京。一方面是鎮壓起義急需大量的軍餉開銷，一方面是鑄錢的原材料告缺，給清政府造成了嚴重的財政困難，最終迫使清政府自咸豐三年開始發行紙幣和改鑄大錢來彌補財政虧空。

此枚咸豐元寶雕母錢，地刻精美紋飾，咸豐元寶是清代文宗咸豐年間鑄。此枚咸豐元寶是圓形方孔銅質錢幣，其形狀外發天，內地法，取義精宏，為難得一見的珍品古錢。正面鑄有楷書“咸豐元寶”四字，從上而下而右而左直讀，此幣錢文，書意端莊雋美，筆劃力道十足，筆鋒鮮明犀利，，筆劃壯實規矩，如挺立青松，筆直帶感。整體儲存完好，鑄造精美，錢體厚重，幣麵包漿渾厚，錢幣十分精美。
直徑6.8釐米，厚度6毫米，為少見的雕母錢，而且從這直徑來看為大面值的銅幣，十分罕見，雕母（亦稱祖錢）是將冷塑性、易刻性光滑黃銅，透過冷鍛、雕刻加工並經錢局審定開穿後用作印範的制錢模型。
